Bank Islam launches Visa Debit Card-i

Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd has launched a multi functional card that combines the features of an ATM card and a Visa card.

Individuals aged 15 years and above who have a current and/or savings account with Bank Islam are eligible to apply for the "Bank Islam Visa Debit Card-i"."

"Through the Visa Debit Card-i, Bank Islam's customers can enjoy the convenience of cashless and hassle-free transactions wherever Visa card is accepted with the number of participating merchants estimated to count more than 24 million worldwide.

"Card members will also enjoy 0.5 percent cash rebate on retail purchases made using Bank Islam Visa Debit Card-i," said Khairul Kamarudin, the bank's consumer banking general manager, in a statement today.
